ADVICE: Dealing with Grief!

Letting go is hard, but sometimes holding on is harder…..

Todays post will be on a topic that has been present in my life since loosing my mum to cancer in February and thats 'GRIEF'.

There isn't a minute i don't think of my mum, and this has been so unbelievably hard to commit to work and live a ordinary life again. Sometimes i feel a lot of emotion at once, or another I'm having a good day, then i wake up and feel worse again.

There is nothing more devastating to us than a loss. It hurts the heart, and leaves an emptiness that is difficult to fill. It is something that everyone will have to deal with in life, so i thought i would talk about some of the ways that it can be made a little easier and less painful.

Things you might feel while grieving:
  • Overwhelming sadness, with lots of crying
  • Tiredness or exhaustion
  • Guilt, things you could of said but didn't, or not helping with a cure

We can choose to confront and deal with the feeling of grief and loss, or we can choose to avoid them. Avoidance will lead to the grief re-surfacing as an array of psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, or extreme anger will affect you.

Its obvious that there is no easy way around it, so to be honest just 'Face it'!
Facing grief, though difficult and mentally hard at times, will prove to benefit you in the long run and be true to seeing a healing journey.
Each persons journey takes longer than others and remember you are not alone as there is another neighbour just grieving like you.

Remember that your loved one wouldn't want to see you upset and would want to see you happy and seeing a bright future ahead of you. They may no longer be present but they are by your side, every second of your life watching you take every breath.

You only live once, live for the moment and there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Collective Beauty Haul - June 2014

Hello Lovelies,

I accumulated these beautiful things for the past few weeks and decided to share them with you. I love checking out hauls and seeing whats out there! There are loads of offers like 3for2's and freebies, i had so many products in mind so here are my beauty finds..

Benefit 'The POREfessional'
I heard wonders regarding this product and who doesn't want to minimise the appearance of pores!!.. the finish is amazing and its totally matt and leaves your skin ultra smooth.

Bourjois 'Rouge Edition Velvet'
These i was heavily influenced by beauty gurus and as I'm a lover of bright lips these looked right my ally. Name says Velvet but they are totally matt and if you want lasting pigmentation then these are great.

Benefit 'Fake Up'
A hydrating concealer to hide those bags and i love that its super moisturising and doesn't dry out leaving creases. I must admit i didn't need another concealer but coming into summer i wanted a more wearable natural concealer for those no-make days. Caked face on a sunny day is a no no!

Barry M - Nail polishes
I wanted to get a white polish as white is totally the new colour for the nails. Gel polish manicures are so expensive and can be damaging so this gel effect is great and will give the shine i need and cheaper for the pocket too! Well there are 3 polishes and i wanted 1, this always happens.. but Superdrug had 'spend £6 and get a free limited edition nail paint' so i couldn't resist:D

Garnier 'Ambre Solaire Fake Tan'
Yes i said FAKE, i haven't got the luxury of spending time sunbathing and here in London and my skin is looking very pale indeed and i definitely need a little pick me up. Lets see how this goes, hopefully not Orange!!

Estēe Lauder ' Sheer tint Release'
While watching my favourite gurus on Youtube i saw that many had purchased this product and i really wanted to try it and give it a go. Its really like magic as it adapts to your skin tone and it leaves it looking so glowy and wonderful. Watch out for a review on this very soon!

Paco Rabanne 'Lady Million'
I always seem to come back to this fragrance as it smells heavenly and also its more affordable which helps ;p

Bourjois 'Sunglasses'
I didn't purchase these sunnies! they where  freebie with my Bourjois purchase today in Superdrug. I guess another added to my collection and they are pretty amazing :D

So what beauty product have you been loving recently?

Holiday outfit ideas - Nighttime

Hello Lovelies,

As promised i have for you my holiday outfit ideas for the nighttime.

I always find it the hardest to find a great outfit for the evening and spend hours juggling bits together until I'm finally happy with it.

So here are my outfits that i have composed and i really hope you
get inspired and get ideas for your holiday.

Look 1: Coral Bliss
Totally love coral for summer and this skirt is just gorgeous. Match it with the same colour heels and keep the top half plain. You really don't need a big bag so this cute small gold satchel suits the outfit to a T.

Look 2: Neon Statement
If you don't want to be bold with neon then accessorise with the shoes and clutch! Imagine your tanned feet with those shoes! I absolutely love this whole outfit

Look 3: Flower power
If you have a more boho style then this outfit will suit you really well. I love the layers on this skirt and pairing it up with this bold flower print top will give you a statement. I feel tan accessories will go so well and keep it minimal with jewellery as the top is already a bold choice.

Look 4: Colourful Queen
Imagine this dress with a Tan O.M.G..Yes I'm in love and you would rock the night away. No other comment needed!!

Look 5: Sequinned Statement
If you are more a trouser person then this look is for you. Pair it with this very embellished top and no accessories needed.

Look 6: Orange Fever
Another fave of mine and i love Orange. Rock these printed high waisted shorts with this plain crop top that has a high neckline so its ok if legs are fully on show ;P This clutch is a statement and goes perfectly with the colours on the shorts.

Look 7: Statement style
This outfit is great if your not to keen on bold colours but still want to stay in style with prints. Your tan will stand out with black and gold accessories and this perplex clutch O.M.G it has pineapples!!

Everything is from the following stores:

So whats your favourite outfit?

Hope you enjoyed and got inspiration on at least an outfit!

Holiday outfit ideas - Daytime

Hey Lovelies,

It's that time of year that many of you are going away for a summer holiday or simply are re-vamping your summer wardrobe.
I thought it would be a great idea to share a few ideas on several outfits that you could wear on your holiday or simply rock on a sunny day!

How many of you get stuck on outfit ideas?

I always end up buying unnecessary clothes that i don't wear and that stay in the suitcase the whole holiday. Why? because i never have outfit ideas in mind when purchasing, so i just buy what looks nice and actually don't think if they would match or go together at all.
So, for my next holiday i decided to style outfits and have ideas  for when i go shopping so that i have things in mind and like that, things will be much easier on what i want.

So, as you do i searched the high street online and came across some fabulous finds!

Hope you enjoy these outfits and find inspiration!
Everything is currently available online just click on the links.

Look 1:
Peach, lace, denim what else! this outfit is so girly and we need those girly days right?! Skorts are not everyones cup of tea but paired with this lacey cami and denim waistcoat you wouldn't think twice!
Outfit: All Topshop

Look 2:
Yellow! the colour thats in trend right now.. it cries out summer and this dress just looks so classy and elegant. This is a perfect dress if you want to look more sophisticated and explore the city!

Look 3:
Oh how I'm loving kimonos right now! They are just so effortless and create an outfit in an instant. You could easily wear this kimono on the beach with a bikini as a cover up.

Hey lovelies,

The time has come again where i drool over the laptop and wish for all these lovely things in my life!

I need to get myself beach ready for the holidays and this bikini will look amazing with a tan. Who doesn't want to feel like a Victoria's angel?? ;p

  • Stunning 'Michael Kors' watch. I seriously cannot live without a watch on my wrist and Michael Kors are truly one of the best looking around and i absolutely love this one.

  • 'Pink Nouveau' Lipstick from Mac cosmetics. I really want to add this lipstick to my collection and it will look sooo nice with a tan on holiday… eeekkk can't wait!

  • Trendy Statement necklace from Aldo. Loving neutrals at the moment and this necklace will definitely make me a trend setter!

  • Sexy nude sling backs from Zara. These will go with everything and the heel isn't overly high which is a bonus, also at £39.99 its an awesome price for Zara.

  • Blogger Loving 'Fiji' Nail polish from 'Essie'. This nail polish looks amazing on the nails and i definitely need this on my nails. Would look amazing on the toes too on holiday.

Rainy 1st of May OOTD

Hi lovelies,

I can't believe that we are in May already and my did April literally flew past..

The weather has been so miserable and today has been horrible as it rained all day in London..well typical london weather right!

I was in London today for a few errands and took a few pictures of my outfit so i wanted to share it with you. I went for a biker look with the jacket and boots which have been my staples for the past season.

All info on the outfit is detailed below. Its not a great outfit for a wet day but this beloved Zara scarf of mine kept me cosy and dry all day and yes it was cold for a scarf!!
Ofcourse i had to style it out with some bold lips which i had on 'Russian Red' by Mac, which is one of my all time faves.

(Outfit: Jacket,Scarf,Boots - all ZARA, Crop top - Primark, Denim & Bag - Miss Selfidge)

I passed by some beautiful gardens in Embankment so i had to take a shot by these lovely tulips.

Much love susx
